Funding for innovation
Is it possible to finance my innovation project via national or European funding? As a Swiss company or ETH researcher, you can learn how to apply for funding most efficiently at an information event at ETH on September 8, 2021.
If you are a Swiss company and would like to cooperate with ETH or if you are an ETH researcher and would like to realise an innovation project independently or together with an industrial partner, there are various funding options.
By means of specific examples, Innosuisse mentor Dr. Gabriele Schwarz, Dr. Ingo Hebach from EU Grants Access and Dr. Jan Zimmermann from ETH Industry Relations will outline the most common funding instruments. In addition, you will learn what aspects in particular you need to pay attention to when applying for funding, and where you can get support, both internally and externally.
Program:
9:30 Welcome Note
9:35 Innosuisse Funding
10:00 EU Funding
10:30 Q&A
11:00 Case Studies
11:30 Q&A
12:00 Closing Remarks

ETH Industry Day
In line with the "Funding for Innovation" event, the ETH Industry Day takes place in the adjacent building. The largest industry event at ETH Zurich includes about 20 short presentations by selected professors and spin-off founders, as well as an extensive exhibition. Whether a life-size robot boa, "printed" concrete columns, novel computer chips, or bacteria for babies with stomach aches - ETH spin-offs, research groups and competence centres present their latest projects. At this event, you will get to know the latest industry-related research topics and expand your network at the same time.
